I don't believe there is a reason, Babs. If I had to guess I'd say it was because I was having lazy math days when I built them.

Using
em
s can be problematic in cases like that--Opera especially sometimes interprets them differently than other browsers--but I don't believe I've tested it. I'll certainly try sizing them with
em
s and see what happens.

I've struggled with the small gravatars thing for a while. I prefer them where they are, and it would look strange making them much bigger there. If you want to enlarge and/or move them, you're more than welcome to do that. (Just ask if you need advice on that.)

Random PS: My posting this comment made me notice a bug. Comments were inadvertently showing the date that the post was written, not when they were.

Thanks for the newer version (along with the advice you emailed me)! Thus far everything seems to be looking good.

I'm currently playing around with the archive quilt squares. Is there any particular reason why you used a pixel measurement for their width, instead of your usual "ems"? I don't want to break anything.

One tiny thing -- literally. The gravatars are so small it's hard to see what they are. I tried enlarging them, but then they don't align right. Not a big deal. Just thought I'd throw that out here, in case you wish to address it in a later version. :)

The addition of the mini quilt in the sidebar is a really nice touch! This theme is definitely a keeper.
